Dr. Donald Taylor
Dr. Taylor graduated with a DDS degree from McGill University in 1966. He then practiced family dentistry in a dynamic group practice at the Melville [...] Dental Building for eleven years.
He received his graduate training in Orthodontics at the University of Western Ontario from 1977 to 1979 where he graduated with a Masters degree in Clinical Dentistry. Dr. Taylor has practiced orthodontics in Westmount since his graduation. He is now in partnership with Dr. Claudia Giambattistini in their TGO Orthodontics Office. He is a member of the Montreal Dental Study Club, Montreal Dental Club, Canadian Association of Orthodontists, Northeastern Association of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists and the World Association of Orthodontists, and has served as President of the Quebec Association of Orthodontists and of the Eastern component of the Edward H Angle Society of Orthodontists. He was the first graduate of Western to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentist where he has served as examiner then Councilor.He was president of the Quebec Chapter of the American College of Dentists, was chief examiner for admissions to the Eastern Component of the Angle Society of Orthodontists and in 2009 was the President of that organization. He is Assistant Professor in the department of Orthodontics at McGill University where he lectures and is a clinical instructor. He has been on staff at McGill for some 35 years. He served on the Dental Advisory Board for two 3-year terms and has lectured internationally.
When he is not practicing orthodontics he enjoys skiing, golf and scuba diving.
Dr. Claudia Giambattistini
Dr. G has a very unique way of making everyone so comfortable. Her warm, friendly, understanding demeanor brings a sense of family to the [...] TGO practice that is rare in such a professional environment. As a long standing partner in TGO, Dr.G also enjoys being surrounded by happy patients with straight, glowing smiles and, like her partner, she dedicates part of her time to teaching.
After graduating from the McGill University Dental School, Dr. G completed a one year multi-residency program at the Royal Victoria Hospital before getting her Orthodontics degree from the University of Toronto. Dr. G has been teaching orthodontics at the Dental School at McGill University since 1997 and has been running the orthodontic program at the Royal Victoria Hospital multi-residency program since 2001. She has been on the executive committees of the Montreal Dental Club, the Federation of Dentists of Greater Montreal, the American Association of Orthodontics and the Quebec Association of Orthodontics. In 2004, she received her fellowship from the Royal College of Dental Surgeons and has since been an examiner for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada evaluating graduating orthodontists across Canada.
If that isn’t enough to keep Dr. G busy, she also has two wonderful children and loves to train for marathons! Apparently she’s taken a few stained glass courses to test that soft touch on some other masterpieces, too. Most recently, after having participated in the Dancing with the Docs fundraiser, she thinks that dancing might be something else to pick up…For the future, Dr. G hopes to raise two responsible and respectful citizens, enhance the lives of all of her patients and continue to participate in the professional formation of young dentists. Oh yes, she’s going to run a few more marathons too!
Rosa has been in the dental field since 1980. Since 1998, Rosa has dedicated her professional life to helping create and perfect “The TGO [...] Way”. Rosa is the Business Manager for the practice. She received her certification from Concordia University in Administration and Human Resource Management. Rosa enjoys long distance running and swimming and is part of the Westmount Master YMCA swim team. She is an avid fund raiser for a variety of cancer foundations and often combines the two. She’s already looking forward to meeting you.
Patricia has been an orthodontic assistant since 1978. She joined TGO in 1998. Her knowledge in orthodontics is vast and is a great people [...] person She loves to ski and spend time with her family. She is a great cook and is one of the most efficient and enthusiastic organizers that you can ever hope for for any social function that comes along. She is looking forward to meeting you.
Nella has been part of the TGO family since 2003 and she is a friendly, caring Treatment Coordinator. She is renowned for taking the [...] time with patients, young and old, to explain all of the details of their upcoming treatments.
It helps that she spends as much time as she can with her two wonderful children. Nella is a real movie buff and she loves to sing Karaoke. So if you are at TGO and you hear a beautiful tune…
Silvia De Castris
Silvia has been working with the TGO Team since January 2004. She has been a dental assistant since 1997 and has worked in orthodontics [...] as well as dentistry. She graduated from Polyvalente Pierre Dupuis and received her D.E.P in dental assisting. Silvia adores children and has spent many years as a group leader for young girls in the “Scouts Canada” movement. She hopes to see you at your next visit.
Tatiana has been working in dentistry since 2000. She joined the TGO Team in April of 2007. She has a Bachelor’s degree in biology [...] and for many years she taught biology at a medical college in St. Petersburg, Russia. She’s been married for 17 years. Together, with her husband she enjoys biking, canoeing, cycling and cross-country skiing. Tatiana’s interests are philosophy, history and theology. In addition, she obtained her certification in massotherapy in Russia and has often relieved her co-workers from their work related aches and pains.
Sandra is our vivacious appointment co-ordinator. She has at times been nicknamed “El Fuego” on account of her extremely energetic nature. Sandra has been [...] in the dental field for many years. She is the “Hub” of our office and she has remarkable memory for names and faces. When she’s not working she likes to travel and enjoys watching sports.
Regine has been part of the TGO Team as a dental hygienist since 2003, and has been in the dental field since 2001. She [...] assists Dr. G every month at the multidisciplinary dental residency clinic at the Royal Victoria Hospital where she helps train the residents in their clinical skills in orthodontics. She is also our clinical co-coordinator helping to guide our staff and doctors during the course of our busy days. She cherishes spending her free time with her family and friends and loves to dance, especially salsa. She is really looking forward to meeting you.
Quinton joined the TGO Team in June of 2000. He is the specialist in photography and radiography. He is equally qualified and talented in [...] handling many of the software programs and computer functions. He is indispensable at the TGO clinic as he is the “jack of all trades”, especially when challenges in the computer systems arise. Lastly, he enjoys cricket, Antillean cooking and wickedly enjoys teasing his coworkers.
Andrea has been in the dental field since 1991. She joined TGO in 2000. She specializes in the surgical aspects of orthodontics and enjoys [...] the challenge of each of these unique treatment plans. To further her knowledge in this specialty she has observed the surgical team in the OR on several occasions. When not in the office, you can find Andrea behind the bench of the Dawson College Blues Hockey Team. She has been an Assistant Coach since 2002; and is extremely thankful for the opportunity to help these extraordinary young ladies pursue their dreams of playing at the University or National levels. She is looking forward to meeting you.
Joined TGO Orthodontics in December 2012. She is a Dental Assistant who pursued her dental career in administrative duties. Having been trained in general [...] dentistry Rachele is quickly learning the many facets of orthodontics. Rachele has recently gone back to Master’s Swimming, putting in lots of weekly mileage. She is friendly and welcoming and waiting to meet you.
